  • While I respect ChrisFix and thoroughly enjoy watching his videos, I did notice something that I need to warn people about. DO NOT USE SILICONE ON BLACK RUBBERS OR PLASTICS. Silicone is notorious for fading paint and can break down composite surfaces like rubber. Find a hydrophobic spray that is safe to use on plastics. While I'm here I'll throw in my input as a certified Alaskan resident... Start your car 20 minutes before you need to leave. That's it. If there's a ton of snow use a brush with extra stiff and sharp bristles to remove the majority of it, then the defrost will do the rest.

  • Hey Chriss, I have a question for you: I have a mitsubishi lancer exe 1991 1.5EFI 90Hp 4g15 that cranks but wont start unless you inject fuel directly into the air intake hose. When it starts it runs reasonably well but if the gas pedal is pressed even slightly the engine dies. I checked the fuel system the pressure seems to be okey. The compression seems to be good. I tried disconnecting MAP, MAF and throttle position sensors but none of them had an effect. Do you know if it is possible to use computer for a daignosis (does this car have the scan port). Do you have any ideas why it doesn't start? Than you very much

  • So I just use the head of a broom and it gets it done with no scratching
